Sarah Ivancic is a fiber artist hailing from suburban Cleveland, Ohio. She holds a BFA in Fiber with a concentration in Experimental Fashion from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
Sarah’s passions lie in costuming, styling, and tedious embroideries and crochet. Her work, much of which occurs on the body, attempts to explore material, structure, cultural constructs, and their interactions with one another. Much of her influence comes from fashion of the 1920s-50s, burlesque, handicraft, and general curiosities.
Sarah resides in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. When not in the studio she enjoys baking, people watching at coffee shops, and looking at apartment ads on Craigslist. She is almost always over-dressed, enjoyably quirky, and can really pull off red lipstick.
